FIA World Endurance Championship

The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) is organized by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).

This series encompasses nine endurance races across the world — including the 24 Hours of Le Mans — with all being at least six hours in duration. The 2016 calendar includes four events in Europe, two in the Americas, two in Asia and one in the Middle East.

The WEC field is divided into four categories: LMP1 and LMP2 (Prototypes) and the LMGTE (Grand Touring Endurance) class, subdivided into LMGTE Pro for teams with professional driver lineups, and LMGTE Am, aimed primarily at amateur or ‘gentleman’ drivers.

Multimatic Motorsports Europe, under the leadership of George Howard-Chapell, is competing as Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK in the LMGTE Pro category with the following two cars and associated driver lineups:
